(Capt'n Nemo takes on Al Bore and Global Warming, or climate change, or whatever the term dejure is...)

          


Al Gore is at it afresh and anew as Al Gore 2.0. Al is trying to get the government to do something…anything about climate change. Wait, what is that new term Climate Change???  Well, in this version of Al gore and company, the term is no longer Global Warming it is Climate Change. You see, the left are expert manipulators (I salute them for this) thus they have switched terms.  It is like the term Outsourcing in the information technology world.  This term is now poisonous so there are new euphemisms like: “global sourcing“, “low cost geographies” (my favorite), and “off-shoring“.  Terms designed to disguise and confuse.

It may seem like a slight play on words, but the left is well aware of the power words hold.  Global Warming is now hotly contested and !gasp! debated.  In short, it is now a poisoned term.  By switching terms it gives Big Al and his minions breathing room to launch fresh attacks, while the “masses” are unaware of said attack.  It further takes advantage of the good nature of the American people in that we are willing to “hear someone out” when a new idea arises.  But, sadly, this is nothing new.  Al the prophet is again preaching our total doom, and end of life as we know it.  He now has many willing ears all too eager to drain our wallets to support their causes.

Al , and his fanboys at the EPA, want to label CO2 as a pollutant.  That is correct, the gas that you are exhaling right now is pollution.  The gas that plants are giving off at night is pollution.  If the economic consequences of what these egomaniacs want to do were not so serious, this would be funny.  Now is not a good time to hurt the economy, especially for highly questionable “scientific” reasons.

I can see where this is leading...the CO2 tax.  Someone will have to fund this madness, and it might as well be the people who use the energy that produces the CO2.  This means you.  The more energy you use the higher your “carbon tax”.  There has been talk of this for businesses and corporations, but it will end up in John Q’s lap (one way or another) before long. Especially since Comrade Obama is in office.  The alternative is just as simple:  kill all of your plants, stop using energy, and hold your breath for the rest of your life (this is where eugenics comes in handy).

Fortunately, there are people who are fighting back.  John Coleman has written a rebuke of Gore and company (you can read Mr. Coleman’s article here).  Captian Nemo hopes it will be enough to stem the green tide.  Most of the green movement depends on Global Wa…oops - “Climate Change” - being unquestionably true in order to keep the non-existent crisis going in perpetuity.

Al Gore 2.0 is just like Al Gore 1.0 except slightly more bloated.  Perhaps he should exhale.
