An Associated Press article published to today had many New Jersey residents spitting mad (you know your in trouble when even some liberals are pissed).  According to the article, a "blue ribbon" panel appointed by far left liberal Governor Corzine returned pro illegal immigration recommendations that included offering driver's licenses to illegals and allowing them to enroll at state colleges at the reduced state resident tuition rates.  In addition, the panel recommended the creation of a new bureaucracy added to an already over-governed state to cater to the special needs of the criminal immigrant.

You read that right - the State wants to offer illegal immigrants access to higher education at a state subsidized discount.

Even for a blue state, voters are expressing their fury over this dumb-ass recommendation by a bunch of "blue ribbon" morons.

Governor Corzine side-stepped the driver's license recommendation claiming it was a federal issue, however, the Federal Government doesn't issue driver's licenses, the State does.  Although the Federal Government, under the Bush Administration, unconstitutionally strong-armed most states to accept more stringent Federal identification standards, and adopt forgery resistant license cards, it is still up to the State to issue.   So, we delight in the proposed pathetic double standard, where American Citizens have to undergo practically a strip search to get a driver's license document, and the undocumented illegal alien is going to be ID'ed for a drivers license - how - by marking 'X'?  It's pure insanity.

Tuition subsidies for illegal immigrants?  The state wants to incentivize illegal immigration to the state?  So it can attract the cream of the illegal day laborer crop? Is that it?  At a time where the real unemployment rate in NJ has got to be in the area of 10%, and there are news stories about illegals starving in the streets because they can't find day laborer work, the state is wants to offer discount education at taxpayer expense? 

We have talked about this aspect of the immigration issue before - you know that Government is breaking down when it intentionally chooses to ignore it's own laws and collude, aid, and abet a class of people in breaking the very laws Government created and is charged with enforcing. 

It's absolute madness!

In our last post, we talked about how, at the end of the day, voters across America have no one to blame for this awful mess but themselves.  Nothing could be more true in this case.  The good news here, and across the country, as the far left continues to tear apart the fabric of what America has heretofore represented - voter rage is building like never before.  We can only hope that by the time our turn comes to be heard across this land, that there is a an America left for repair and rebuild. 

New Jersey has traditionally been the butt of countless jokes.  Now the greatest joke of all is on all the legal residents of that state.
